Love Ireland

From the Isle of Anglesey we took a 2 hour ferry crossing arriving Dublin Port and made our way across the country to start our tour at County Sligo Golf Club (Rosses Point).

The first night was spent in Sligo at the contemporary Glasshouse Hotel which is centrally located and perfect for a wander through the streets of Sligo. Our brief visit allowed us to stumble across the traditional Irish 'session', skilful musicians playing traditional instruments producing authentic Irish music, that coupled with a few pints of the black stuff made for a great start to the week!

Monday morning and it was time to get the golf underway at County Sligo GC and it could not have start any better, this course is perched high on Rosses Point with breathtaking views across the bay but also with a golf course to match the views, classic links, rolling fairways, undulating greens, deep bunkers and the sound of the sea! The welcome in the clubhouse was typically Irish and by that I mean very friendly, food was excellent and perfect to send us off to our next destination - Ballyliffin.
