The Emerald Isle

Classic links, Guiness and the craic, perfect!

Ireland has long been noted for the quality of its golf courses with the after party just as infamous! The Average Golfer took a 5 day tour starting in County Sligo and finishing at the home of the 2019 Open Venue Royal Portrush with plenty inbetween.

There is a huge array of golf courses spread all across the country both classic links and some parkland beauties. This year saw the Irish Open arrive in Irleands most northerly point and the host course was Ballyliffin Golf Club. Ballyliffin has two links courses of the highest standard with the Old Course having been played on since . The Irish Open however would be played on the 1990 design - Glasedy Links.

The Average Golfer got the chance to experience the test faced by the professionals, grandstands in place, course at its finest, take a look at the 3 hole Man v Golf challenge
