Very nice golf course and really like to see in the Summer, driving range was closed, small pro shop, lovely clubhouse but perhaps a few looking down their noses at you, might be paranoia!

Also still a very expensive winter fee at £60, much better value elsewhere this time of year.

This was the first venue for our societies annual golf trip. As soon as you walk through from the car park to the first tee you know you're in for a good days golf. The clubhouse is a beautiful piece of architecture and the first and last hole look fantastic. There are a great mixture of holes with punishing heather if you stray offline from the tee. The fairways were tight and the greens slick. There was a tricky breeze blowing which made the homeward stretch tricky.

Overall it was good value for money and a great way to start the 4 days golf in Leeds

A fantastic test on a Dr. Alistair MacKenzie designed Open Qualifying track.

We had booked a twilight tee time (£50) which offered the best green fee price, arrived early and enjoyed lunch in the club bar, before a bucket of balls on the range.

Excellent menu selection and very reasonable prices (try the locally made Pork Pie !!).

Team in the pro shop were efficient, attentive and most welcoming.

The course was in fine condition. It was a very windy day, which made both club and shot selection all the more difficult. The course is well laid out and is effectively 9 holes out, 9 holes in.

The course rewards a good shot and is penal to a wayward ball, the fairways are lined with gorse which makes it difficult to advance your ball (assuming you find it first !!).

There are many memorable holes, my favourites being around the turn (10, 11 & 12).

This is a must play course and certainly worth the green fee.

Played 8th April on a glorious Spring day. Whilst the greens were not yet in their normal perfect state, the overall course condition was as good as could be reasonably expected so early in the season.

The course features a good mixture of holes, with the standout for me being the dogleg par 4 10th, on which 4 truly is an excellent score. Many of the fairways are lined with heather, so accuracy off the tee is vital to maintain a good score.

Played off yellow tees, you only have 2 par 5s (there are 4 off whites), so playing to your handicap here is a fine achievement.

Probably the best course in Yorkshire in my opinion. Also worthy of mention is the unusual clubhouse design which provides a great backdrop as you complete your round.
