Play Shrigley Hall on Sunday 25th June and had a great day out. We were given a good welcome by the Pro. The course itself was in excellent condition from tee to green with all areas mown and in good order. The course is a tough walk and is quite undulating so a buggy would be advisable. Tee boxes were decent and the fairways like the aprons were excellent. The Greens were in decent shape though not as quick as some that we have recently played. All in a great day out and I would definitely return.

Was on a 3 day break. Lovely venue. The course itself was pretty good. Front 9 quite challenging if you've not played it before. Played it differently 2nd and 3rd days, to a better result. Sloping fairways demand an accurate tee shot on many holes, especially if it's dry. Some of the greens are a little exposed so dry out and are quick.

There are some great holes though - the 7th requires a good tee shot leaving a daunting 2nd over a valley and pond up to an elevated green. The 16th is another with a challenging tee shot. Over a valley to a tiered fairway. 2nd shot up hill to another elevated green. Great holes though.

Some parts of the course are hilly and the original 14th has been skipped out as they've added a new par 3 18th over a pond - another good hole. So a buggy is recommended.

Overall very enjoyable.

I played this course for the 10 th time this month and it remians a delghful course with some stunning views tricky holes with doglegs in both directions and quick greens. It is best played in late spring and summer as it can get wet and soggy in parts

The first 3 holes are a but non descript seeming like a late afterthough but the rest of the layout is first class.

Long par 3's dog leg par 4's and tough par 5's are the signature of this well designed course.
The 17th and 18th are two contrasting but equally difficult holes with the first being shortish but a very tigh drive to a sculpted green and the second being a long sweeping dogleg requiring the ability to hit a long faded drive and accurate long second to reach the green in 2. Water awaits the inaccurate or unwary.
Since the owners have changed the off course facilities, food bar etc have declined somewhat which detracts from the overall enjoyment of a classic modern course sadly.

One of the most breathtaking courses in Cheshire with far reaching views across to North Wales on a clear day. Not many courses will have deer and Canadian geese as additional hazards!
Some superb holes with very challenging lies. Signature par 3 hole 8 with water both sides is great if you get on off the tee. Other than that you're in trouble.
Hospitality great if on a package day but visitors have a bit of a trek to get to the main bar after a round.
