par 71 course on two levels with the second, seventh and twelfth tees overlooking and driving onto the lower levels. Bounded by the railway on one side and the river Dee on the other, the course offers a challenge to all levels of golfer. Planted in the 1960’s over 2000 trees, representing more than 100 varieties, line the fairways, offering a variety and challenge seldom seen elsewhere. The established greens are challenging with subtle dips and curves that have fooled many a golfer. Well known throughout the north for the quality of its greens and fairways Chester has a characteristic beauty both in summer and winter.

Chester is always worth a visit, a very nice picturesque parkland course. Played it many times in the summer and is always in top nick. The Pro is always happy to help. Nice course.

Played in the Chester Festival on this course, warm welcome on arrival, course in very good condition, greens lightening fast and tricky.
    Two tier course
Would recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed

This course is great during the main season but can be very wet in the winter despite major efforts to resolve the issue.

During the summer the greens are some of the best and fastest I have played, it's a wonderful parkland setting with each hole clearly defined.

The clubhouse is lovely, a very friendly snooker room/sports bar is a great way to finish a round or take a drink on the patio. Pro shop is full of Taylor Made equipment.

    Local Knowledge helps here

I played this course during a match against the seniors. I thought that local knowledge really helps here, I had one approach on a difficult par 4 that looked spot on only to find the ball had off the green to the left. I had wondered why my opponent had aimed to the right and I thought maybe he had pushed it.
The course is very well maintained and the greens were good, if fast with very hard to read borrows. Or maybe I was just having an off day.
The clubhouse is excellent, and we were given a nice meal with good service.

Just stayed in Chester City centre and played here and at Mere, had a really great time, the course is just 5mins walk from the city centre, I left the wife shopping and headed to the tee! The course is an interesting layout with some holes quite tight, a little hilly in places, but the greens are as good as I have played. Lovely clubhouse and the pro shop has plenty of Taylor Made stock with a nice welcoming professional staff.
