I visited this mature parkland course with friends from Bunkers Golf Society.
The welcome, service and hospitality we received on arrival was first class. Plenty of fresh coffee and a delicious bacon barm were served before our round and went down a treat!
The course was a little sodden underfoot in places but the greens and fairways were in nice condition.
The course presented an interesting challenge and the pretty low scoring generally on the day was a reflection of the conditions (the winner scoring only a modest 33 points)
The bar offered a nice selection of fraught beers and the staff were all pleasant and attentive.
We paid £45 each for our food and golf - which I regard as a fair price for the experience of playing a course of this standard on a Sunday morning. One or two in our party however felt that the experience did not justify the cost.

We played this recently but after some competition so the pins were certainly not at their easiest. The course was in fantastic condition and very easy not to get a good score, if your out of position you can find yourself easily out of position. Definitely worth another visit. Have already decided we are going back next year

This is a lovely high quality parkland course set in the Ribble Valley.

I have played here several times over the years, and it is a pleasure to play on a summer,s day.

Not overly long, there are enough twists and turns to grab your attention, and some great views to boot.

On my latest visit in May 2016, the course was in very good order, and had fully recovered from the long wet winter.

Well worth a visit - this is one of the best parkland courses in Lancashire without doubt.

Clitheroe GC - great course, worth the money

As stated, really, really good course and well worth the slightly more expensive green fee (in comparison to other local courses). Very good first impressions - it`s a classy and "money" golf club. Good shop and facilities, but the course itself lives up to all of this too. It`s a good challenge, not brutal off the yellows and is one of the few courses i`ve played that actually suits a fade, in the main! Lots of really good holes, par 3 16th (i think) is the signature hole for me, but there are plenty of other memorable holes. Quick greens and very well maintained - well worth playing!
