Played the course on 10/5/19 in a society golf day. The fairways and semi rough had bare areas that were obviously attributed to last years hot weather but overall didn"t affect playing the course. The greens were very good as usual and were running at a very good speed. There have been alot of changes here over the past year which have definitely improved the course and changed the look of a number of holes. The new clubhouse is now fully open and has a vey modern exterior. Inside it is very spacious. A new putting green and landscaping is still being completed but does not detract from a great experience. The staff were very friendly and food very good. Well worth a visit.

Played the course on 21/5/18. On a number of holes trees and undergrowth have been removed to allow the sun and wind to reach areas that it didn't before. You will not believe the changes made if you have played here in the past. New tees and bunkers have been put in. The greens on the front 9 were slightly faster than the back 9. There is a new clubhouse being built but this isn't causing any problems. As always a good welcome and the food excellent.

What a great course even in winter conditions. Played this course at the end of March and it was in great condition even considering the weather. Being sand based it drains very quickly so all year round golf is available. Pro shop was fantastic and the staff are great. One of my favourite tracks and well worth a visit. Get yourself there and I promise you you will not be disappointed.

Ensure you do not wear golf shoes/trainers or the like in the club house.Only conventional shoes allowed.great food and service form the club house staff. I love the layout and this is a great golf course. Unfortunately they have a major problem with wrong grasses growing in the rough. They are letting all the rough grow to allow proper destruction of none local grass in the autumn. This means that if you stray a yard off line the ball is unfindable and almost unplayable if discovered. They are obviously aware of the issue and there is lots of great newsletters and communication between the greens committee and members explaining the rationale behind the decision.a good sign of a progressive club. this is not a cheap venue for a visitor but it is recommended for a visit.

Good course but all temp greens.some were ok others not as expected.the position of the temp greens is a good challenge.shame that they were a bit ragged.fairways in good order and work to tidy up the heather is clearly underway.looking forward to playing again later in the year as during the summer this is an excellent facility.scores based on how it presented today as I have seen it in much better order during summer months and it is still a favourite venue.
Don't wear any sort of golf shoe in the clubhouse. You will be challenged even if they are clean and not been worn on the course!
