Celebrating 125 years in 2016. Venue of the 2016 Lancashire Seniors Championship and the 2014 Lancashire Amateur Championship.

If you have played Grange Park you will need little or no persuasion regarding the merits of our Championship Course. Grange Park Golf Club is a traditional parkland course set in the industrial town of St Helens, but you wouldn't know it; neither would you realise that the Club was established in 1891.

At 6496 yards from the medal tees, it's a true test of golfing skill. The course's main defence are the greens, which are regularly amongst the best in the country and the views from our the highest points are stunning. Our Club House is an ideal resting place after your round, where you will find our bar and catering staff willing to serve you.

I only have one critiscm and that is no diving range but that is expensive to setup and clearly cash saved has been invested into this beautiful little hidden gem in St Helens.
Absolute bargain to play with immaculate hospitality. The greens are extremely true, very hard and fast in summer (maybe too much) but sprinkle little wate on them and they are immense. They are ALWAYS true and lines can be perfect. The actual 18 holes are extremely varied and thoroughly enjoyable, There is no up one fairway and back on yourself for the next fairway. This course has 18 great enjoyable and challenging holes. I am seriously considering joining this course as its local and really is a hidden gem and i hope positive reviews like this hope to contribute in more members and allow it to flourish even more more. On behalf of all at bunkers golf society Thank you for immense welcoming allowing us to experience top golf from our doorstep.

After hearing lots of good reports I have wanted to tackle this course for a while. From the first tee to the 18th green I enjoyed every second of it. The course was in great condition, greens were being worked on but that didn't take anything away from them. They were fast, true and a pleasure to putt on. All the people we met from the members, pro staff and green keeling staff were welcoming and friendly with a few handy tips on lines and places to aim. For a winter special of £80 a 4 ball we will definitely be returning sooner rather than later.

Although my LMS performances at Grange Park leave a lot to be desired the overall facilities at GP are of a high standard. The course is a testing round with lots of diversity and undulating fairways, a good test of golf. The staff are always very friendly with that 1st post round pint always full of life even if your mood is the contrary! Overall a superb course to host our LMS tournament but I won't be sorry to play a new one! I'll conquer it one day!

Grange Park is quite simply an outstanding example of what a top private members golf club should be...An interesting and superbly maintained golf course. A comfortable, well appointed clubhouse, helpful staff at all levels, excellent selection of food and beverages. A knowledgeable and very experienced club professional on site too. All this available to provide top quality service for their courteous and friendly members.
I have been fortunate to have enjoyed these facilities on a number of occasions throughout 2016 and look forward to returning many times more in the years to come.

What a fabulous Club & Course!!!

I have been fortunate to play at Grange Park GC quite a lot over the course of 2016 as part of Bunkers Golf Society and their Last Man Standing competition.

When you approach the club and drive between two houses on a busy main road you wonder how the course can fit in to the area - but what a course it is!!

It meanders through the land behind the houses and you wouldn`t believe you were close to the centre of St Helens. The course offers something for everyone. There are long par 4`s for the big hitters, but also short "thinking man`s holes" that require good course management and skills with clubs other than the driver - which I always think is the sign of a great club.

The condition of the course throughout the year has been fabulous. I was concerned that it may play a bit wet in certain times of the year, but it has drained brilliantly and its general condition is wonderful. Its always reassuring when you see the green staff constantly at work to make the place as attractive as possible.

The greens are quite simply majestic. Slick, fast and with subtle breaks. They are one of the stars of the show and are as good as anything around this part of the country - and I include the more famous courses on the Southport/Mersey coast in this [such as Hillside, S&A, Birkdale and Hoylake] Truly a superb condition throughout.

The course keeps you thinking throughout with each hole being a completely new challenge and no two looking similar in any way. Varying lies and slopes require skill and technique whilst natural hazards offer protection to the course.

The clubhouse has been recently refurbished and is superb. The prices are also extremely competitive and the food is great and plentiful - well worth stopping behind for a pint and a bite!

In summary, Grange Park really is one of the finest privately owned clubs in the area with a warm welcome, great value and a pride in everything they do. If you haven`t been yet - make sure you call up and get booked!!!

12 Sept Visit With Bunkers Golf Society. Many fellow members have played this during the year as part of our knockout tournament and commented every time how good the greens are. Not playing the tournament myself i was looking forward to playing this course, and it didn't disappoint.

Great layout with a variety of challenges, from sloped fairways, water hazards, wind making some holes considerably longer.

Fairways, tee boxes both in great condition, but the greens were absolutely excellent.

Staff serving the pre-round bacon butty, post round beer and meal were very polite and accommodating and the setup of the room was excellent, far better than some of the others we have visited, where little effort was made. Well done Grange.

Only minor niggle for me facility wise would have been only having 1 driving net.

Definitely a great course to play.

    I arrived at this
lovely parkland layout on a bright sunny late summer's morning with 23 friends from Bunkers Golf Society. We were welcomed warmly and shown to the more private, upper dining room where we enjoyed a substantial bacon barm with our tea and coffee.
With our allotted tee time fast approaching we made our way down to continue preparations on the putting green and practice net before making our way to the first tee.
The course was in excellent condition throughout. Fairways were mown closely and greens were superb!
The course offers a delightful balance between challenge and enjoyment and always rewards good shot making. Initial post round drinks were consumed in the comfortable spike bar before our party moved upstairs once again to enjoy a delicious two course meal consisting of individual, home baked steak and kidney pie with roast potatoes and peas followed by apple tart with vanilla ice cream. Portions were generous and were sufficient to satisfy our hungry party!
This is a fine club with excellent facilities, courteous and pleasant members and obliging, professional staff.
    We will certainly be back!

I have played this course quite a few times this year and everytime i visit it seems to have improved! This is a top top course that really has to be played to see the condition of it, every round i have played here there has been a groundsman doing something on the course and all credit must go to them as it is in truely stunning condition. When i played this round it was in as perfect condition as you can get it, the fairways were immaculate the greens were super slick, the tee boxes were flat and well manicured, i can literally not run out of good things to say about it. A must play for all level of golfer. Look forward to my next round there.

Lovely course with some real stunning views especially when you get to the 7th and 8th holes. With the winter we have had this course has really stood up to it and the greens were really fast for the time of year. In the summer i imagine they will be as good as any. Its a true test of golf with positional play being the best option off the tee although there are a few holes you can really open the shoulders on. I would recommend this course to anybody, very well maintained and a very welcoming atmosphere from members and all staff.

I had the pleasure of being invited to play at Grange Park Golf Club in Prescot. The course is in excellent condition, fairways and greens are very well looked after. A really enjoyable day and a fantastic course to play for all levels. The facilities and club house are a great place to relax after a game or like me and my son did have a light bite before our tee off, all staff and members are very welcoming and accommodating to show you around and make you feel welcome. This is a course I will be playing again in the near future.

We picked an awful day to return to Grange Park, it rained heavily all the time we were on the golf course (we should know what to expect in August!). A lot of credit where credit is due the course had very little standing water and the greens were still lightening fast. The course is a good challenge with some long par 4's and tricky par 3's.

We didn't use the catering on the day although some of the lads bought food individually and that looked to be of very good quality.

The staff were very good in both dealing with the booking and on the day.

It's one that we haven't visited enough over the years but the general consensus was that we would love to try it again without the rainfall.

Played in the Rose Bowl and the course was outstanding. The greens were as good as Royal Liverpool (Hoylake) and I can't compliment it any higher than that. The course isn't long, but the problems start on the greens as they were like lightening but very true. I would recommend anyone to play Grange Park.

I had the great pleasure of visiting this lovely parkland course the morning following one of the wettest nights this year! You would not have known it though as the course was in magnificent condition with almost no casua water at all! Bunkers too were in excellent condition.
My friends and I received a very warm and friendly welcome from staff and we`re delighted to make our way around this extremely interesting and attractive layout. The fairways were smooth he and well shaped with immaculate greens certainly amongst the best I`ve encountered anywhere this year. Members too were courteous and friendly and made us feel welcome as we enjoyed our post-round tea and sandwiches. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and one I`d recommend to any golfer.
