This was my first visit to Longridge and I look forward to returning hopefully one day. Lightening fast greens that ran true and a well kept course with tough sticky rough. There have been many young trees planted and staked here and we could see walking around how tougher this course will play once they have grown and established. The course is already a very good test and a net par here is a hard target to hit!! Just my opinion I'm no expert but I personally don't think they are needed. Strange set up at one part of the course (can not remember which hole numbers) where two tee boxes was facing each other and we was practically hitting past members letting us go first. Absolutely stunning views from the course. Before I go I would like to quickly mention holing my 3rd shot on the steep approach to the 18th for birdie haha.

I've played here a few times now and always enjoy the challenge. Not an especially long course but par always seems a tough ask here, partly due to the incredibly mean, lightning fast greens. I had a long downhill put for par on the 2nd and ended up half way back down the fairway!!!

The views are unbeatable, at the top end of the course you get a full 360 degree panorama of the surrounding countryside, just spectacular.

Cant really fault the place, i just wish i could hole a putt here! The course is always in great condition and a pleasure to play on.

As good a course as we've played all year. If you want a good test, fantastic greens, breathtaking views, Longridge GC is for you.

There is a great practice ground if you want a loosener.

The greens were very quick, and ran true. They were tricky because if you were putting downhill, you always seemed to knock it past by 3ft!

As it is on top of a hill, the wind I imagine could be a big factor. On our day it was fine. The course isn't that hilly outwith the 1st, 2nd, 17th and 18th which are brilliant!!

Definitely will be back.

I've played Longridge several times and really enjoyed it each time - i imagine it's different in bad weather as it's very exposed, but it's set in a beautiful location, lots of elevation changes, plenty of character with the walls and the greens were great - lots of slope, quick and true. Not the longest course, but a reasonable test, in really good condition with some stunning views. One of the best VFM courses I've played too, with bargains of £10-£12 online!

A tough walk

Enjoy this course and try and play it onceer year. It's an extremely tough walk and climbing up the hill at 18 normally feels one hole too many. There are some cracking holes and some stunning views over Lancashire. Another great course for a society but would not recommend trying to do 27holes.
