Excellent golf course . Played the first nine holes against the wind in sunny weather . The course was in excellent condition and very testing. The back nine were just as testing and also in great condition. Will definitely come back and play this course again.

The location of this course is stunning, set on the edge of the beach it is a classic 9 out and 9 in links course.

This course offers some real quirky features which make it so unique, greens are huge, massive undulations, stone walls in front of greens, wow!

Absolutely loved this place and will be back in the Summer.

Played here in March 2016 as part of the Links Golf Cup.

The course, as always, was presented in great condition, and the greens were quick and true for our visit.

The course is a classic out and back links, and has many memorable holes, particularly on the back 9. With great coastal views on much of the course, a number of blind shots, and some unusual challenges presented in the shape of walls at various locations, this layout will stick long in your memory.

Great fun, and thoroughly recommended.

We played there on Thursday 9th July and received a very warm welcome from the Starter and Secretary who showed us around before we played. Before we booked, I was a little hesitant about paying £95 for a green fee but it was worth every penny. The course was in excellent condition, the views were stunning and the welcome we received on the course, in the clubhouse and pro shop etc was second to none. If you're in the area, it's well worth a visit.

I played the course as part of the Links Golf Cup in March. The condition of the course was superb (for any time of year).

Sam the starter was very friendly and knowledgable. He`s been doing it for 17 years!

To sum up the course in two words I`d use "fun" and "scenic".

There are a number of blind shots but that just adds to the fun.

The outward 9 is good but I`d say the back is superb. Every hole is memorable.

The views to the islands in the Firth of Forth are breathtaking as are the beaches.

As the course finishes back in the town, you can feel the history of the course and it`s a lovely finish on quite a short par 4 which offers a good chance to sign-off with a birdie.

The only downside is that the practice range is at the far end of the course so you`d really have to drive to them.

A response from North Berwick Golf Club

The location of the practice facilities is an issue, but being in the middle of town there is no room to develop an extensive area by the 1st tee. We do have an inflatable warm up net that is erected subject to the wind strength, which does allow members and visitors to loosen up before play.

Fantastic golf course at anytime of year. I have played here on many occasions through the seasons and it never is in anything but pristine condition.

Some very memorable holes which are very well known across the world. Views of the sea are in sight on most holes.

The clubhouse is relatively welcoming and has great views of the 18th green and 1st tee.

The price is the only issue for me, it's better value in the Winter months but at £100 a round in the season and plenty of overseas prepared to pay means it is not accessible to most golfers which is a real shame, much like many of the top end courses.

That aside if you can afford it, you will enjoy it, guaranteed.

Quite simply 'a must play' for lovers of our great game !!!
Course played like it was the middle of June & not Winter.
Fabulous greens, dry & firm fairways, wonderful views of the Firth of Forth & traditional Links Course.
Lots of memorable holes, especially the 2nd 'Sea' with a long drive over beach to reduce length of approach shot to long par 4 of 429 yards.
This course has been host to many prestigious events including The Amateur Championship & Final Qualifying venue for Muirfield.
The quality of everything at this club is First Class and we all thoroughly enjoyed our day here.
Friendly attentive staff in clubhouse & excellent food & facilities.
We will be back.
A day to 'live long in the memory' !!
