I play off 17.

Visited here on Sunday 27th May with BGS. It was a very hot and sunny day with a slight breeze.

The course looked amazing, defining lines on the fairway separating the rough, mature trees lined most holes and the greens looked immaculate.

Plenty of areas for practise. Large putting green, several chipping areas with sloping greens and bunkers and a larger area for the longer chips. Could not fault it.

Tee blocks in great condition, bins, ball cleaners on most holes. little things but make the difference.

some great holes and a course that rewards you if you stay in play. some tricky shots if you find the rough.

Greens rolled true.

This was our first outing here and im sure we will be returning again. A must play.

Bar staff was very pleasant and the newly reburshied bar area was very modern.

I played here with Bunkers Golf Society.

I really enjoyed this mature, tree lined golf course. It was in pristine condition and was visually very pleasing on the eye.

There are a good variation of holes here to keep you thinking about your club selection.

The greens were firm and not massively receptive to a well struck approach shot but it has been very warm for a while in this area.

The clubhouse lounge was very impressive, very contemporary and the menebers i encountered in there were very friendly and obviously interested in how our day went.

If you’re in the are, I’d definitely recommend paying Ringway a visit.

I visited Ringway GC with Bunkers Golf Society on 27th May 2018 and play off a handicap of 10.

It is a great club/course with an impressive set up. Lots of practice facilities and the clubhouse was superb.

The course is a mature parkland with plenty of tricky holes that keeps you thinking. Greens were superb and were smooth and slick - some of the best I have played on this year - especially after the very poor winter we had in the UK.

Definitely a course I will vote for the society to visit again in future at our AGM.

This was our first visit to Ringway Golf Club and was done on the recommendation of a close friend to the society. However, this will not be the last time we visit this great local club.

The set up of the entire club is impressive with a large and welcoming club house that is decorated brilliantly and looks out over the course. The course is a mature parkland with tree lined fairways and plenty of variation in the holes with a number of doglegs and moderate inclines. Prices within the clubhouse were fair and reasonable and the staff were polite and attentive. The day cost us £40 per person on a golf only basis with tee times from 13:30 – which we thought was pretty fair for the standard of course we were met with.

The club has a number practice areas to utilise pre round ranging from a large putting green, to nets and numerous chipping and pitching areas, all within touching distance of the first tee. There was also a practice ground a short walk away for the longer clubs.

Our visit saw us enjoy some glorious sunshine and 22-24 degree heat – which always helps. However, despite the sunny day it was very tricky due to a strong wind that seemed to follow us throughout the 18 holes. This made club selection tricky as it could be a 2 club wind at times and combined with the fact the greens were superbly quick and firm following the recent good weather, it meant players had to adapt quickly and realise the ball needed to be pitched in much shorter than the pin positions – off the green at times.

The greens were lovely to play on with a very good pace and even roll and were some of the best we have enjoyed so far in 2018. The general condition of the course was impressive and it was some of the small things that left an impression; such as the walkways and pathways on holes being well maintained and tended to and each hole seemed to have a ball cleaner, towel and bin on the tee box. It just leaves the impression that a course is trying to really maintain a certain standard.

The fairways and rough were well maintained and not overly penal and the course was very easy on the eye, as well as the legs. Its relatively flat and is therefore a course that’s not going to leave you exhausted by the time you hit the 19th hole. Credit to the greens staff who had gotten the course in a beautiful order, not only in terms of playing condition but also aesthetically.

The only very flight negative was that none of our group could grab food after the round but it was explained that kitchen staff had finished for the day as they weren’t expecting any orders at 5pm onwards when we finished. That’s fair enough, but a bit of communication beforehand may have done the trick as some of our group were keen to buy themselves a bite having not eaten since 8/9am. However, the post round pint ended that worry.

Ringway is a superb local parkland club and is one that we hope to revisit in years to come providing the prices don’t drastically change going forwards as £40 is about the right price bracket for where the club currently sits.

I visited here with Bunkers Golf Society and having never played here I was pleasantly surprised. The practice facilities were spot on and gave a great idea of how the course was playing.

A blistering wind made the tight tree lined fairways made for a tough knock, the fairways did have a good run on them, Any badly played tee shots are surely punished and make life hard for you. The greens run fast and true and don’t have unexpected bobbles.

Will most certainly making a return.

Played 27 May 18 with the Bunkers GS.. the course was in great condition.. a swirling wind made the tree lined fairways that bit more difficult to find! The greens were well presented and ran true.. the staff and members were very friendly and welcoming - all in all a great venue for visiting society's - go play it!

Visited on a warm blustery day in May with Bunkers Golf Society.

We can’t remember who recommended Ringway to us but many thanks to whoever it was.

This is a lovely parkland course with subtle elevation changes and the odd tight tree lined fairway. I found the course to play fair with plenty of room for the odd miss that was not overly punished by punitive rough.

The setup of the course was top draw with excellent tees, beautiful fairways and good greens that were a bit hard but they are everywhere at the minute.

There are some little touches that make it above your average parkland. The bunkers are great, the pathways are a nice addition and the practice facilities are spot on.

We were made to feel welcome in the clubhouse and by the pro on arrival. Our only error being that we didn’t arrange food and kitchen closed before we got back in.

Overall I was very impressed and look forward to coming back.

I visited Ringway golf club with Bunkers Golf Society and found it to be a tremendous treat! The course offers its visitors a fine parkland layout, set in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside.
Ringway is a top quality set up with a range of easily accessible practice facilities which include a number of putting and chipping greens as well as a driving range. I would argue that the superbly maintained course poses a good degree of challenge to golfers of all levels of ability, irrespective of experience or handicap. The holes are attractively laid out with some long and demanding par fours. However, I found it to be a relatively easy walking course in the main, and my three ball got round comfortably in three hours and forty five minutes.
The fairways and greens are currently in excellent condition and the course generally indicates clearly that green keepers know their craft.
The large clubhouse is modern and comfortable with a nice patio area overlooking the putting greens and course.
Unfortunately there was no food available after our round as we had not given prior notice to the club that some players would wish to have a post round snack.
I can recommend this course to all golfers without reservation.

Had a wonderful day out at this very good course, Fairways were good, as was the Greens. The Greens, like a lot of places, due to the wet winter, need a few more weeks and they will be excellent. the Bunkers where OK, but some could of done with a little more sand. Enjoyed the course and look forward to playing it again next year. Thank you to all the staff at Ringway.

Ringway is a great parkland course based in Altrincham, Manchester. A fairly easy first four holes eases you in to the course, and from the fifth is a mixture of holes where par is a good score and more holes where you can look to pick up more shots, for example the 9th and 10th holes are back to back par 5's.

A well presented course with well positioned fairway bunkers and some undulating greens provides a good test of golf which demands shots which are well thought out in order to avoid making errors.
