A great day in Yorkshire

A nice course ,and a first for me Spotters on a couple of the blind holes. There are a few too many blind shots but the spotters helped to keep the golf moving along.Bunkers had varying sand consistency and amounts making shots unpredictable.
Enjoyed the day and would go back.

Cracking golf course and really good deal for winter golf, played three courses in the area and this was on par with others and at a much lower price.

Would love to go back in the Summer on our next trip

Second day of our trip took us to this course. Good practice facilities are available to get you warmed up.

Great course with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Perhaps not as well known as its two neighbours but it is right up there for the quality of golf available. The course has a much more parkland feel to it compared to the heathland course of Alwoodly and Moortown.

Loved it.

I have played Sand Moor several times in the past few years, and most recently visited in May 2015.

The course is a heathland/parkland combination situated in North Leeds, close to its more famous neighbours Moortown and Alwoodley. As ever, the course was presented in excellent condition, with true greens running at a decent speed.

The layout is perhaps one of Mackenzie's less well-known designs, but features a good mixture of long and short holes, and four excellent mid-distance par 3s. It is a course which you are almost certain to enjoy, as it rolls through beautiful countryside with stunning views.

Also worthy of mention are the excellent practice facilities, and tremendous carvery served after our round.

A very enjoyable day was had by all.
