Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort

If ever in Angus pay Kingennie a visit. A little gem of a 9 holer, great layout, USGA spec greens. Not long at 2944, but challenging. The 7th "THe Burn" is probably the signature hole, risk and reward, from an elevated tee the player can play safe with iron, to lay up short of the burn or the big hitter can go for the green, but danger lurks everywhere, the burn crosses the fairway twice, and is heavily bunkered. The panoramic scenery from the 5th green is spectacular. On site there is also a driving range, fishing, and The Cairngorms putting green, which is callenging but enjoyable way to finish off the round. Great bar and restaurant facilities.
Great experience

This past open qualifying course has everything you need - a good, challenging course, good greens and a very warm welcome.
Green fees are an absolute steal for a course so close to St Andrews and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Came here in holiday. Took the package - bacon roll & coffe, 18 holes followed by soup & sandwiches. Great package. Value for money. All the staff extremely helpful and welcoming. Good was brilliant. Stuffed after!
Course pretty good. Mix of links & parkland. Some interesting holes. Some approaches you have to decide to go for it or play to centre of the green. Well kept fairways and excellent greens. This really is a great course. Can recommend and would love to return. five stars.
