Played the Castle Course on the 30th March and it was in immaculate condition. The most undulating greens I have ever played on, they were in amazing condition. From the minute we arrived until we left the hospitality was superb. You'll go a long way to find a better golf course. 10/10 for everything.

Demanding Links Course

The Castle Course hasn't always received the best press since it opened a few years ago, but in truth this is a quality addition to the existing range of courses in St Andrews.

Admittedly, one or two of the greens are a little over the top in terms of humps and hollows, but the overall experience is simply one of playing a tough, demanding links course which will ask many questions of both your long and short games.

The practice range is situated handily next to the clubhouse and provides a good warm up before you venture out onto the course.

When we visited in July 2015 on a decent day for golf, the course and greens were in very good condition. However what really strikes you is the length and difficulty of the course coupled with spectacular views.

Definitely worth a visit.

We had a trip to St Andrews playing several courses including The Old and The Castle. We were worried by what we were told by the locals about Castle and in particular its greens. " Not a links", " Unplayable" " scratch golfers only" etc. etc. All four of us game off saying it was the best golf course we have ever played! It was simply stunning, the greens are tricky yes but very playable, two of us had one three putt each which is hardly "ridiculous". The staff were fantastic from start to finish and sitting in the clubhouse looking out over the course out to see with a cold beer was the perfect end to a fantastic day. Dont just stay in town and play the old links` as good as they are you might just find this beautiful modern interpretation a delight.
