Tyneside Golf Club is the oldest inland club in the North East of England; formed in 1879 and still regarded as among the finest parkland courses in the region. It's not only our history that we are proud of. We boast a challenging though enjoyable 18 hole layout which is renowned for the quality of its greens and which resists extremes of the elements remarkably well. Perched on the "Falls" of old Ryton Village, our club is tucked away in peaceful surroundings, a short drive from Newcastle City Centre and Newcastle International Airport. Our somewhat "secret" location has not prevented the club's reputation spreading far beyond the banks of the River Tyne.

This course is a must if your in the Northumberland area for a few games of golf, again with it being a parkland course late May onwards is probably the best time to play this course.

This is not a long course by modern standards but it has some magnificent holes try the 13th called the coffin hole, very tricky tee shot to say the least from the back tees, when you reach the green all becomes sense about its name.
Plenty of short par fours but be aware the greens can be very fast and tricky to putt on.
It's got a nice clubhouse which I found to be very friendly along with nice food on the day.
This course is suited to all handicappers to enjoy, it's also got some nice views along the way.
