Llangollen was the 1st course of the weekend on our annual pairs match In wales and we were not disappointed!. Driving into the carpark looking down onto the course you get a feeling of the quality and high standards that Llangollen golf club obviously hold themselves to. The club professional was friendly and helpful and the pro shop well stocked. Onto the course the 1st hole is a great starting hole no need for the big stick here on the par 5 but a solid tee shot is required to make it past the corner on this big dog leg right. The course and surrounding views landscape are truly stunning!. The stroke index 1 9th is a tough test and 5 here felt like par. The 18th is a fantastic finishing hole and with the sun shining this up hill par 3 looks like it could be at Augusta national. My playing partners and I could not of been more impressed with Langollen golf club and it will now be a concrete fixture in every wales tour .

Llangollen is one my favourite courses. It is an interesting test in a superb setting by the River Dee. It has an great variety of holes and the views are excellent. It winds its way through mature parkland and I like the variety in its par 4s.
There is a nice patio outside where you can have a drink, and the sausage butties are generous. The service is friendly too.

This place is absolutely beautiful, the drive to the golf course through scenic North Wales is very pleasant before the golf even starts. I loved the first tee shot, a servere dog leg right, don't try to bite off too much of the corner, the approach to the green is protected by a small pond, so a par start is hard work. you play many holes alongside the river with rolling hills in the background. The greens and fairways were well kept and I will return in the summer to see it in its prime condition.
