Played at Wilpshire on Sunday 23rd July 2017. On arrival we were given a warm welcome and the food included in our package was excellent. There are practice nets, a chipping area and a couple of practice putting greens all of which were in excellent condition. The course is very undulating but is not as stiff a walk as you would expect as you seem to cross the sloping parts instead of climbing them. All tee boxes, aprons and fairways were mown and in excellent condition. The Greens were as good as any that we have played this year They ran truly, fairly quick and there were no blemishes whatsoever on any of the Greens. The Bunkers had plenty of Sand in and had all been raked well. This is a cracking little course and really does make you think your way around. We will definitely return. Thanks to all concerned for a great day.

Played here on 29th June. 3rd time of asking & again it defeated me. The course is a delight & I don't know why it punishes me so. I also can not fault my playing companions on the 3 occasions & some of these also found it a tough challange. Facilities & staff are fine so I'll definitely return.

Wilpshire GC - good moorland test

Wilpshire GC is another NW hidden gem IMO, a good challenge yet playable for all levels and as it's not the longest of courses it's not essential to hit driver on every hole, hence you can manage your way around. One or two blind tee shots in the first 5 holes makes it tricky on your first visit, but after that I rate it quite highly. Signature hole is probably the par 3 17th, from an elevated tee, but there are several really good holes, especially from the 7th onwards. Well worth a visit!
